Northern Sky River Ring – Whitby Jet & Fiery Opal

Inspired by the burnt-red sunsets that blaze across the North York Moors, our Northern Sky River Ring captures that fleeting moment when the evening sky comes alive with fiery shades of orange, red and gold.

Handcrafted in our North York Moors studio, each ring is carefully inlaid by hand with fragments of vibrant mixed Opal and genuine locally sourced Whitby Jet. The intense black of the Jet creates a dramatic backdrop for the Opal, allowing its flashes of ember-red, burnt orange and glowing gold to really come alive as the ring catches the light.

It's a combination that feels particularly close to home. Whitby Jet has long been part of North Yorkshire's story, while the fiery Opal reflects the changing skies and wild landscape that inspire so many of our River Ring designs.

Because we work with natural materials and create every inlay individually, no two Northern Sky River Rings will ever be exactly alike. Variations in the Jet and the placement and colour of the Opal give every finished ring its own pattern and character – a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece made especially for its wearer.

Made Especially for You

Each Northern Sky River Ring is handmade to order, so please allow up to 2 weeks for your ring to be created before it leaves our studio.

Important – Ring Sizing

Northern Sky is an 8mm wide-fitting ring, so getting the correct size is particularly important.

We strongly recommend visiting a jeweller and having your finger professionally measured specifically for an 8mm wide band. This is usually a complimentary service. Wider rings fit more snugly than slim bands, so you may need a larger size than you normally wear.

Please don't rely on printable online ring sizers or measuring your finger with string or paper, as these methods can result in an inaccurate fit.

As your Northern Sky River Ring is custom made specifically to your chosen size, it is non-returnable and cannot be exchanged for another size unless faulty.
