Born from our love of wild landscapes, natural materials and jewellery with a story, our River Rings collection brings together distinctive handmade gemstone rings for men and women, individually crafted in our tiny North York Moors studio.
From locally sourced Whitby Jet and fiery Opal to Turquoise, Amethyst, Paua shell, natural stone and wood, each design combines carefully selected materials with contemporary ring bands to create something a little different from the ordinary.
Inspired by moorland skies, rugged coastlines, forests and the changing colours of North Yorkshire, no two natural inlays are ever quite the same.

Rings with a story
Our River Rings are designed for people who want more than a conventional ring.
Choose from polished or faceted Tungsten Carbide, Sterling Silver, Stainless Steel, Titanium and Ceramic, with selected designs available in different widths, finishes and colours.
Each inlay is carefully created by hand before being sealed and finished with high-quality jeweller's resin, protecting the materials while revealing their natural colour and character.
Look closely and you'll discover everything from fragments of black Whitby Jet and flashes of Opal to rich wood grain, Turquoise, Paua and semi-precious gemstones.

Handmade in the North York Moors
Earth & Elements is an independent jewellery business based in North Yorkshire, with our River Rings individually handcrafted in our small workshop in the North York Moors.
The landscape around us provides endless inspiration — from heather-covered moorland and dark skies to the North Yorkshire coastline and the famous black Whitby Jet found along it.
Some designs take that connection even further. Our Hutton Heather Ring, for example, contains real heather gathered locally from the moors, while selected River Rings feature genuine locally sourced Whitby Jet.
It's a little piece of Yorkshire you can carry with you.
